JPMorgan has promoted Andrew Pickup, who runs its long/short equity book, to head its equity proprietary business. This role was vacated by Aziz Nahas, who left for UBS alternatives arm Dillon Read Capital Management (DW, 3/10).
Pickup declined comment. He is understood to report to Patrik Edsparr, who was named head of proprietary positioning and principal investments in the senior management reshuffle earlier this year (DW, 1/30). It could not be determined if Pickup retains direct responsibility for the long/short book.
