Lehman Equity Traders, Salesmen Quit

Lehman Brothers has lost a raft of sales and trading staffers from European equity derivatives.

Lehman Brothers has lost a raft of sales and trading staffers from European equity derivatives. Three traders, Stuart Hall, Elton James and Georgios Sittas, have quit and Omar Abdellaoui, a senior hedge-fund salesman, and Hans-Georg Vetter and Gregor Richnovsky, both covering German flow sales in Frankfurt, have also moved on. It could not be determined if there was any common factor behind the departures.

Mark Lane, spokesman for Lehman, declined comment on replacements and timing of the departures.

Hall, James and Sittas, along with Vetter and Richnovsky, have all been connected with roles at rival firms, but their destinations could not be confirmed by press time. All six were on gardening leave and could not be reached.
