Merrill Lynch reportedly has hired Manroop Jhooty, senior v.p. in the collateralized debt obligations group at Dominion Bond Rating Service in Toronto, to its structured credit derivatives desk. Jhooty is expected to start over the summer and report to Mike Connor, managing director in structured credit derivatives in New York, who declined comment. Reached at Dominion, Jhooty declined comment.
Ronnie Roy, managing director and head of structured credit derivatives at Merrill, and Terez Hanhan, Merrill spokeswoman, did not immediately return phone calls.
