Correlation Trader Exits Merrill

Merrill Lynch has lost Ed Selby, a mid-level credit correlation trader in London. The departure comes hot on the heels of Neil Walker, managing director and global co-head of correlation trading, exiting last month (DW, 4/21).

Selby could not be reached for comment, but an official familiar with the situation said he resigned yesterday. He reported to Attilio Pietranera, senior trader, who did not answer calls. Alex Walker, spokeswoman, did not comment on the departure by press time.

Market buzz tips Selby to land at Barclays Capital in London, reporting to Dev Roy, European head of structured credit trading. Roy referred calls to the press office where Kerry Kennedy, spokeswoman, did not comment by press time.
