Commerzbank has tapped Tony Au, credit structurer at Nomura International in Hong Kong, for a similar role in its Hong Kong hub. The move is part of the German bank's renewed push (DW, 2/24) into Asia this year in equity, credit and commodities after it shut its derivatives business in Japan early last year.
Ian Soso, head of markets in Hong Kong at Commerz and Makoto Matsuda, spokesman at Nomura, did not return messages by press time. Prior to his stint at Nomura, Au held senior roles at Calyon and Fortis Bank (DW, 1/28/02).
