Amit Patel, a director in credit-default swap trading at Barclays Capital in London, has quit the firm. Market buzz has connected him with a role at The Royal Bank of Scotland. Patel, who traded CDS on retailers, did not return a message left on his cell and Kai Seeger, European head of CDS trading at BarCap, did not immediately comment.
