RBS irreplaceable in levfin and PF — poll results
Royal Bank of Scotland’s decision to withdraw from project and leveraged finance may not have a big effect on these markets — but that’s only because every other bank is also cutting back in these businesses. This was the verdict of 59% of voters in our weekly loans poll. But no-one, it seems, predicts that there is any institution out there which is capable of taking RBS’s place: not a single voter thought that RBS’s withdrawal from the market was irrelevant and that others could take its place.
