Loan market needn’t fear Turkish banks’ transformation to bonds
The likely wave of Eurobonds from Turkish banks represents a brilliant opportunity for all the loans houses that provided their balance sheets to such borrowers in the last few years. Loans bankers have little reason to be upset.
On the face of it, loans bankers might not be terribly happy about Akbanks Eurobond plans. The Turkish lender finishes a roadshow in New York on Wednesday for a senior unsecured five year transaction of up to $1bn.
