Babson adds $5bn to high yield portfolio as investor interest persists

Babson Capital has raised $5bn of assets under its combined high yield bond and loan platform in the last 12 months. This reflects continued interest from investors and advisors in the high yield asset classes.

Opportunities in the speculative grade ratings space were attractive, Babson said in a statement, as corporate fundamentals were robust, as on a global basis, relative value arbitrage opportunities persisted and senior secured loan spreads were attractive and expected to remain above historical levels.
