Lenders worry more about rivals than regs according to LMA survey
The bogeyman haunting the syndicated loan market has shape-shifted in the last 12 months from a fear of regulation a year ago to the negative effects of intense competition, according to a survey by the Loan Market Association.
In total, 44.2% of the more than 500 individuals surveyed by the LMA think that intense competition will influence the loan market the most in 2014. This is up from just 13.5% of voters feeling this way at the end of last year.
