Eiffage, the French construction company, is refinancing a €3.3bn term loan and revolving facility for its subsidiary Autoroutes Paris-Rhin-Rhône (APRR). Seven banks are underwriting the loan and syndication is planned to close next week.

United Welsh, a Welsh housing association, has signed a £50m private debt placement with M&G Investments. Private placements have been a common funding format for UK housing associations since 2007.

German rented housing company Deutsche Annington has syndicated a €6.25bn bridge loan for its takeover of Luxembourg-based rival Gagfah. It is the largest real estate facility since 2008, according to Dealogic, but DA may only need a fraction of the facility.

CRH, the Irish building materials company, has signed a bridge loan for the full €6.5bn it is paying cement makers Holcim and Lafarge for a package of assets in Europe, Canada, Brazil and the Philippines.

United Asia Finance (UAF) has closed its latest fundraising at a higher than launch size of HK$2.859bn ($368.8m). With most Hong Kong blue chips going for the club or self arranged route, the deal stood out, offering banks to join in retail syndication.

Philippine consumer food and beverage company Universal Robina Corp’s NZ$742m ($537.57m) loan has been allocated, with ten banks joining the syndication. The loan, which is for the company’s acquisition of New Zealand’s Griffin's Foods, received a good response thanks to the lack of top tier offshore deals out of the Phillipines.
