  • Russian miner Rusal, the world’s largest aluminium producer, plans to take advantage of improved conditions to refinance $5bn in international bank loans this year, the company’s deputy CEO and director of capital markets, Oleg Mukhamedshin, told EuroWeek.

  • Russian oil firm, Bashneft is in talks with BNP Paribas, Deutsche, Goldman Sachs and ING for a debut $300m three year pre-export financing. The company has not yet decided whether to sign a club deal with the four lead banks or to launch it into syndication.
