Hong Kong commodities company Noble Group is looking to raise more than $2bn to refinance several loans that are due to mature this year. But the borrower could push the tenor out to five years for part of the deal — if it can persuade its relationship banks.

State Bank of India launched a $300m syndicated loan on Tuesday, offering lenders their first chance to get exposure to the bank in almost four years. The borrower is already eyeing a $100m increase, but has not exploited its long absence from the loan market to push banks on pricing.

Kazakh sovereign proxy Kazmunaigas has mandated BTMU, ING, Natixis and RBS as bookrunners on its $1bn five year underwritten refinancing loan. The deal will be launched into syndication in May, according to a loans banker close to the transaction.
