Dubai Duty Free, an airport retail company, is seeking a $1.1bn multi-tranche loan facility and has mandated six banks for the transaction. On Tuesday the company said that Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank had joined the transaction as a mandated lead arranger and bookrunner alongside Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Citi, Dubai Islamic Bank, Emirates NBD and HSBC Bank Middle East.

Ukrainian steel credit Metinvest has launched a $300m three year loan into general syndication. The borrower will mostly look to its relationship banking group for funds, although others have been invited to participate, according to a loans banker familiar with the deal.

Turkey’s Vakifbank will be the first of the country’s financial institutions to match the 145bp all-in benchmark set by Akbank’s $1.25bn loan signed on March 20, a Vakifbank spokesperson confirmed. The Vakifbank deal is set to sign imminently.
