European high yield’s year just gets better and better. Seven deals totalling nearly Eu3.7bn were on the road this week and by Thursday, Eu2.7bn worth of bonds had been sold. Issuance in 2011 stands at Eu21.267bn, compared to last year’s January to May total of Eu17.5bn.

Privately-owned property developer Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint Stock (HAGL) opened the bond market for Vietnamese corporations this week, raising $90m after lining up big anchor orders to make sure the company could overcome bond investors’ shaky relationship with Vietnam.
