Blow for SSAs as Apra rules on liquidity
Australian regulator Apra has announced that it will only accept cash, reserve balances, govvies and semi-govvies in its liquidity coverage ratio assets. This means Australian banks will have to hold enough assets in this category to operate for 30 days in a severely stressed environment without accessing market funding.
