EBF calls for CRD IV extension

The European Banking Federation has called for the timing of CRD IV implementation to be delayed if the regulations are not finalised by the end of the year.

In a letter to Jonathan Faull, director general for internal market and services at the European Commission, the lobby group said implementing CRD IV regulations would be complex and time consuming and that more consultation was necessary before the rules are finalised.
