More exits from UniCredit as strategic review awaited

UniCredit has bid farewell to several senior figures in its corporate and investment bank but is holding off appointing permanent replacements until it reaches a conclusion in the strategic review that is being conducted across the whole group.

Existing staff are being asked to take extra responsibilities in the interim.

Since the departure of Mike Hammond, former co-head of markets, earlier this year after the arrival of Jean-Pierre Mustier as chief executive of the group’s investment bank, a number of other senior bankers have also left.
