Air France-KLM completes rights issue with France taking lion's share

The French state has doubled its stake in airline Air-France KLM as part of the €1bn rights issue to recapitalise the company.

The completion of the deal on Monday marks the end of a two-step transaction to inject equity capital into the stricken carrier and to put it on a solid financial footing as Europe attempts to re-open from the Covid-19 pandemic.
