‘Ratings slip’ underway as Rolls-Royce falls to junk level

Rolls-Royce, the UK aerospace engineering company, was left clinging onto its investment grade rating on Monday, after Moody’s became the second agency to cut the company to junk.

Moody’s downgraded Rolls-Royce’s senior unsecured rating by two notches to Ba2 and kept the company on a negative outlook. 

This follows a similar move from S&P in May, with the ratings agency shifting the company from BBB- to BB.
