Greencoat UK draws debt for wind farm buy

Greencoat UK Wind, the renewable energy infrastructure fund, has agreed to buy an 18.8MW wind farm for £51m, using debt facilities.

Greencoat is buying the Slieve Divena II wind farm in Northern Ireland from SSE Renewables. 

The acquisitive company plans to use an acquisition facility plus £24m of cash. NatWest, RBC Capital Markets and Santander provided the facility as bookrunners.
