Prosus gets JP Morgan loan for £4.9bn Just Eat order

Dutch firm Prosus made a debt-backed hostile bid of around £4.9bn for online food delivery company Just Eat on Tuesday, with the target's board quickly rallying to reject the unsolicited offer.

Prosus, the European consumer internet arm of South Africa’s Naspers, surprised Just Eat first thing with a 710p per share cash offer for the company. It has previously made offers for 670p and 700p per share, which were both rejected.
