NatWest hires covered bond trader

NatWest Markets has hired an experienced covered bond trader from Nomura. The move is the latest example of staff swapping between the two firms, but also underscores the UK’s bank ambitions plans.

James Kalbermatter joined NatWest Markets earlier this month from Nomura where he had traded covered bonds since 2011. Kalbermatter has been trading covered bonds since before the global financial crisis when he worked for Barclays which, at the time, was consistently top of the covered bond league tables. ...
