Bond investors embraced pan-emerging markets telecoms company Millicom International Cellular’s debt-funded acquisitions in Central America as they piled into the company’s latest bond and continued to demand the paper in the grey market.
After an exceptionally quiet to the year for Lat Am bond markets, Millicom became the third borrower to tap dollar markets in three days. Added to Cemex’s euro deal, and Banorte and Santander Chile tapping Swiss francs, it was easily the busiest week for Lat Am primary markets
