Italian equity markets volatile as coalition talk progresses

Italian equity markets remain volatile as details of a coalition agreement between the Five Star Movement and Northern League emerge, but ECM bankers are less confident that the volatility will harm Italian IPOs.

A draft coalition document was leaked to Italian press on Tuesday night, which included provisions that laid out a mechanism for leaving the euro, and a request to the ECB to forgive €218bn of Italian debt after QE had ended.
