Nomura Securities International's asset finance group in London is in hiring mode, according to Nitin Bhandari, who was himself recently hired from Bear Stearns as a senior director to build the firm's securitization capability. "The team plans to add five securitization professionals in an initial phase," he said--and the new hires could all be on board as early as October.
Eric Youngblood, head of asset-backed securitization at CDC IXIS Capital Markets in London, will be joining the team as a director to build out the consumer asset-backed and residential mortgage-backed securities business, according to a person familiar with the move. At CDC IXIX, Youngblood reports to Guido Rauch, head of the London branch. Bhandari and Youngblood declined comment; Rauch did not return calls. The most recent hire to start at Nomura is Adam Wilton, v.p. on Bhandari's old principal and asset-backed finance team at Bear Stearns in London. He joins as an associate v.p. focusing on corporate and whole business securitizations.
