Deutsche Bank has hired Lars Kestner, an equity derivatives trader at Citigroup Global Markets in New York, to head its single stock equity derivatives trading desk in New York. Chris Leone, head of equity derivatives trading for North America, to whom Kestner reports, referred calls to Juanita Gutiérrez, spokeswoman in New York. She said Kestner's hire comes as part of the firm's efforts to beef up its equity derivatives presence. Gutierrez declind comment on whether this is a new position.
Duncan King, spokesman at Citigroup in New York, said the firm expects to replace Kestner.
