KKR raises $1bn for mezz fund as bankers thirst for it

Kohlberg Kravis Roberts has raised $1bn for a mezzanine fund, highlighting what many bankers saying is the growing role the deeply subordinated debt is likely to play in the present stressed leveraged finance markets.
