Ed Hyman, economist at International Strategy & Investment Group, has been picked as the top economist for Institutional Investor’s All-America Research Team for an unprecedented 25th year in a row. Results of the poll were released late last week and can be found online at II’s Web site (www.instutionalinvestor.com). Hyman took top billing for his close-enough call that gross domestic product growth with rise to 3.2% last year, while it came in at an actual 3%. Maury Harris of UBS came in second place, while ISI’s Nancy Lazar came in third place. The runners-up are David Malpass of Bear Stearns, David Rosenberg of Merrill Lynch and Stephen Roach of Morgan Stanley.
