Good friends, good food, good times.

Good friends, good food, good times. The Loan Syndications and Trading Association held its 10-year anniversary party last Thursday at swanky Ciprianis on Wall Street. Highlights of the evening included the vodka-shot serving ice sculptures and the melodic band.

The event also served as the early launch party of the LSTA's debut book. The trade association has signed a contract with McGraw-Hill to publish The Handbook of Syndicated Loans, which will provide an overview of all aspects of the loan market.

The book will include information on topics such as loan structures, the primary and secondary markets, credit agreements, analytics and performance, distressed loan investing, loan portfolio management, products derived from the loan asset class, accounting and compliance, and legal and regulatory issues. The LSTA expects the hardcover book to be available in the summer of 2006 and anticipates it will be widely available in major bookstores. Allison Taylor, executive director of the LSTA and Alicia Sansone, senior v.p. for communications, marketing and education, are editing the handbook.
