The $330 million Indiana State Police Pension Trust is seeking a high-yield or hybrid fixed-income manager to handle approximately $18 million. The fund's consultant, Christopher Welker at Capital Cities, said the plan will be the first foray into this space to increase returns. Welker said an RFP will be issued next week and will be available at www.in.gov. Responses are due Oct. 21. The mandate will be funded from cash. Tim Berry, Indiana's state treasurer, did not return calls.
