Look out Hogs....here comes the loan market. Bill Maier, managing director and head of sponsored leveraged finance at Natexis Banque, and Mike Henderlong, executive director, head of par loan sales at Morgan Stanley, recently made their way to central Florida to engage in a "hog hunt," an activity far removed from the comfortable, easy going boar hunting popular in California, and featured in the New York Times. At 5 a.m. the pair trekked through the mire avoiding the usual dangers of the swamp, including alligators, snakes and scorpions, and after seven long hours, Henderlong came across the prey he had been stalking: a truly wild hog. Moving through thick brush and thorny trees, he took aim with his weapon of choice, the bow and arrow (no guns here), and took out the hog with one clean shot, Maier said. Henderlong declined to comment.
