Bank One has hired three foreign exchange options traders in Chicago as part of the firm's strategy to rebuild the business (DW, 19/1). Dan Munro, who joins from Banc of America Securities will run yen option trading while George Kapotas, who previously worked with Chicago-based firm DRW Trading, will trade Canadian and Mexican options, said Justin Foley, managing director and global head of fx options, who made the hires.
Frank Milnarik, who worked at Bank One before it scaled back its FX presence a year back, will rejoin the firm next week and trade Asian options, added Foley. Bank One expects to make further hires in its London office in the coming weeks.
Mark Mullet, principal in foreign exchange options trading at BofA in New York, said Munro's duties will be assumed by Jason Leung, who will join from UBS Warburg in Singapore. Fred Schuster, who Kapotas reported to at DRW.
