Headhunter Napier Scott Executive Search has published a survey of U.K. derivatives sales staffers' total remuneration. The survey shows that managing directors in equity derivatives sales got bonuses of around half that of their credit derivatives counterparts. Sales professionals that work across assets classes received the largest paychecks.
Sales staffers for insurance companies also fared better than their equivalents in the corporate or financial institutions group. Dominic Kennedy, head of Western European distribution coverage at Napier Scott in London, said this is because the area is heating up. For example more insurance companies are hedging their exposure to guaranteed annuities.
