Deutsche Bank Sees Another Emerging Market Exit In U.S.

Karim Zahmoul, managing director in emerging market derivatives at Deutsche Bank in New York, has left the firm.

Karim Zahmoul, managing director in emerging market derivatives at Deutsche Bank in New York, has left the firm. Zahmoul is the latest in a series of high-profile departures from the division. Hugo Faria, managing director and head of Latin American derivatives marketing recently joined UBS (DW, 4/25), while his colleague Mauricio Esquenazi, a Lat Am derivatives marketer, moved to Credit Suisse First Boston (DW, 5/23). Zahmoul could not be reached and Michele Agostinho, spokeswoman in New York, declined comment on his replacement.

Zahmoul joined Deutsche Bank in 1999 and has co-headed emerging market structured products for the Americas, alongside Faria. His most recent responsibilities could not be determined. He previously worked at Goldman Sachs.
