Barclays Capital has hired Laurent Ichard, head of equity derivatives sales to hedge funds at JPMorgan in London. Ichard is expected to take on a similar role at Barclays, reporting to Andrew Stonely, head of flow sales. Stonely was on holiday and could not be reached. Kerry Kennedy, spokeswoman for Barclays, confirmed the hire, but declined to comment on any further details of the move. Ichard could not be reached.
Ichard's move to Barclays follows a string of high-profile departures from JPMorgan (DW, 2/21). Sarah Oppler, spokeswoman for JPMorgan in London, did not return calls.
