Rabobank recently hired Larry Chan, equity derivatives trader at Standard Bank in Hong Kong, to boost its nascent equity derivatives trading desk in the city, which kicked off late last year (DW, 10/15).
Chan said the firm will offer a broad range of instruments to clients, including over-the-counter options, futures and warrants. "We will look at all areas of demand in the retail and professional markets," said Chan. Prior to his seven-month stint at South Africa's Standard Bank, Chan was a trader at Macquarie Bank.
