JPMorgan hired James Cooper as v.p. in the foreign exchange options team from Banc of America Securities in New York. Cooper will run the Canadian, Australian and New Zealand currency portfolios and report to Kayhan Mirza, head of global fx options trading in New York.
Mirza said Cooper has had a successful trading career over the past five years, primarily dealing with the Canadian, Australian and Mexican dollars. Christiane Mandell, head of the global foreign exchange group at BofA, was on vacation and could not be reached for comment.
