Deutsche Bank Duo Bolt

Matthew Carrara, managing director and head of the Americas for the global equity derivatives division in New York, and Karen Fang, a director in structured and investment products also in the global equities division, have both left Deutsche Bank.

Matthew Carrara, managing director and head of the Americas for the global equity derivatives division in New York, and Karen Fang, a director in structured and investment products also in the global equities division, have both left Deutsche Bank. Their departures come shortly after Jim Rowen, co-head of global equity prime services, who left to join SAC Capital Advisors, a Stamford, Conn.-based hedge fund.

Carrara said there has been uncertainty in the department caused by merging of equity derivatives and global markets units that has been going on for months. Bob Reed, a founding partner with the Options Group in New York, added the integration of structuring businesses across fixed-income and equities has not gone as well as officials had hoped, causing some to leave out of frustration.

Carrara told DW he is considering several options, but declined to elaborate. Fang, who could not be reached for comment, will join AIG Financial Products in Wilton, Conn. next month.
