Credit Suisse First Boston has reeled in Hiroshi Kobayashi, v.p. and exotic rates trader at Goldman Sachs in Tokyo, as a director in the interest rate trading group. He reports to Taisei Takegami, head of fixed income trading for Japan. Takegami said Kobayashi has come aboard in a new position to focus on exotic yen rates trading.
Takegami thinks there has been a shift toward more exotic derivatives and therefore looked to build that part of the firm. Orlando Camargo, spokesman at Goldman in Tokyo, did not respond to messages.
