Tricadia Capital, a subsidiary of Mariner Investment Group, has hired Chris Sy, v.p. and desk analyst in the credit derivatives group at JPMorgan in New York.

Tricadia Capital, a subsidiary of Mariner Investment Group, has hired Chris Sy, v.p. and desk analyst in the credit derivatives group at JPMorgan in New York. At Tricadia, Sy will serve as a fundamental credit analyst focusing on balance sheets and capital structure arbitrage. He was brought on as a principal, according to Arif Inayat, a partner with the New York-based asset manager.

One official said Sy worked closely with JPMorgan's proprietary credit desk and conducted internal analysis. He reported to Angie Long, deputy head of credit trading.
