Soros Fund Management is spinning off its 12 person credit team as a separate firm, Camulos Capital. The fund, named after the Celtic god of war, will have a multi-strategy credit focus, divided evenly between leveraged loans, event-driven distressed debt and a basket of other credit strategies. George Soros will provide the largest seed capital for the Camulos Partners fund, but his investment will be lowered as outside investors' capital begins flowing in. Richard Brennan, who heads the group, started the road show in Europe last week. Brennan declined to comment.
