The Royal Bank Of Scotland has hired Robert Ekblom, executive director in fixed income at Lehman Brothers, as managing director and head of capital market sales for the Nordic region. At RBS he will report to Al Sinsheimer, head of capital markets sales, who was traveling and could not be reached. Murray Parker, spokesman for RBS, confirmed the hire. Ekblom, who is on gardening leave and could not be reached, joins RBS as the latest in a string of additions for the firm, which is looking to expand its fixed income sales team (DW, 5/23).
At Lehman, Ekblom reported to Tarun Jotwani, co-head of fixed income, who did not respond to messages. Caroline Villiers, spokeswoman for Lehman, confirmed the departure, declining comment on Ekblom's replacement.
