Banque AIG in London has hired Magnus Orgard, managing director responsible for derivative sales with WestLB in London, as an executive director in a marketing role. Orgard starts next week and will be responsible for marketing Banque AIG's full product range, which includes credit, equity, rates and fx derivatives, to clients in Nordic Europe. Mauro Gabriele, head of European marketing at Banque AIG, confirmed the hire, adding, "The region has been a successful one for Banque AIG and it wants to expand its coverage capabilities there."
Orgard will report to London-based David Behan and Jim Kowalishin, who are responsible for marketing to Nordic Europe, the U.K. and Holland. Behan and Kowalishin declined comment and Orgard could not be reached. WestLB spokesman Hans Albers in Düsseldorf confirmed Orgard's departure and declined to say if the firm will hire to replace him.
