Deutsche Bank has hired Derek Smith, managing director and head of investment-grade credit-default swap trading at Goldman Sachs in New York, for a similar position in its New York office. Smith has left Goldman but has not yet started at Deutsche Bank and he could not be reached for comment. At Deutsche Bank, Smith is expected to report to Boaz Weinstein, head of integrated credit trading in North America, who declined comment. Deutsche Bank spokeswoman Michele Agostinho and Goldman Sachs spokesman Michael Duvally did not comment Monday morning.
