Merrill Lynch is bringing aboard Rig Karkhanis, director and head of fx options trading at Deutsche Bank in Singapore. According to officials close to the U.S. firm, he will join as a managing director in its fx trading group in Tokyo. Karkhanis, who will start in the next few weeks, could not be reached and Takayuki Inoue, spokesman at Merrill in Tokyo, did not return messages by press time. Jason Collins, spokesman at Deutsche Bank in Singapore, declined comment on the departure.
