The Royal Bank of Scotland has appointed Farzin Pourmokhtar, a manager in principal and global structured credit at Bank of America in London, as head of product management in its U.K. structured credit and equity products group. He will report to Vincent Dahinden, head of structured credit and equity products, who confirmed the hire, declining further comment. Murray Parker, spokesman for RBS in London, said Pourmokhtar will come on board July 18, declining comment on his specific responsibilities.
At Bank of America, Pourmokhtar worked initially in trading and then moved into product management, according to an industry official. He reported to Alex Bernand, head of trading in the EMEA structured trading business, who did not return calls. Pourmokhtar, who is on gardening leave, could not be reached for comment.
