Deutsche Bank has added Declan Tiernan, a structured products marketer at HSBC in London, to its structured credit products distribution team. He will report to Fritz Thomas, managing director and head of CDO structuring and distribution, and Raj Dhown, head of sales for U.K. and Ireland. Dhown confirmed the new hire and said Tiernan will be responsible for the distribution of CDOs in Europe and the Middle East.
Tiernan joined HSBC in 2002 from the National Commercial Bank in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where he was head of structured products. He reported to Nobby Clark, head of structured credit trading in London, who did not return calls. Richard Lindsay, spokesman for HSBC in London, did not return calls by press time. Tiernan could not be reached for comment.
