Calyon Expands Structured Credit Sales Effort

Calyon has added two senior structured credit salesmen to its London-based team.

Calyon has added two senior structured credit salesmen to its London-based team. David Eline, from Bear Stearns, and Amwed Jethu, from Nomura, both joined last month as directors and report to Christophe Letondot, executive director and head of structured credit sales. Letondot confirmed the hires, adding the two new roles allow the sales team to better service different client bases.

Eline is responsible for structured credit sales to U.K. hedge funds and financial institutions in Israel. At Bear Stearns he reported to Yves Leysen, head of debt capital finance, who was on holiday and could not be reached for comment.

Jethu is selling products to the Netherlands and is also responsible for strategic business in India, the Carribean and surrounding area. Reached at Calyon, Jethu confirmed he left Nomura's structured credit sales team after three years. Claire Williams, spokeswoman for Nomura in London, said he reported to Algis Pabarcius, co-head of fixed income sales, who was traveling and could not be contacted.
