Merrill Lynch has hired Attilio Pietranera, senior credit correlation trader with Deutsche Bank, for a similar role in London. Pietranera, who could not be reached, has most recently been in Tokyo with responsibility for Asian correlation trading, but had previously worked for the German house in London. At Merrill, he is expected to report to Neil Walker, managing director in structured credit trading, who did not return a message. Patrick Meyer, spokesman for Merrill, did not comment by press time.
At Deutsche Bank, Pietranera reported to Mark Stainton, global head of correlation trading, who was traveling and could not be reached. Jo Pope, spokeswoman for Deutsche Bank, did not comment by press time.
